Dr. Baoyao Zhou(HP Lab China)
Abstract: Web pages are typical semi-structure data. Some tree-based models have been proposed to describe the semantic content structure of web pages in order to facilitate further web content analysis. However, most existing models only present the segmentation hierarchy of content blocks rather than the semantic relationships among them. In this work, we propose a novel web page semantic structure model, called Logical Structure Model. It can present more comprehensive structure information of web pages. Based on this model, the hidden patterns in web content can be revealed easier. The proposed model has been used to facilitate identifying course metadata in our Online Course Organization project1, which aims to build an online course portal to serve the course information obtained from the Web.

Kenny B. Kim (Director Head, Strategic Business Division , WareValley of Korea)
Abstract: Most of global enterprises are registered in stock market and to strengthen their accounting integrity and financial stability, they must reinforce client information security to correspond to IT compliance request. Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Basel II are good examples. To satisfy IT compliance request, internal auditing as well as risk inspection for IT system are processed 1~2 times each year. It is extremely dangerous if important financial data and personal account information is flowed out by external user or modified and searched by internal user. Asia and other advanced countries from Europe and United States not only try to correspond to compliance request regarding on financial and client private information, but also urge preparation on business information and other information risk to secure its Database security.

Abstract: Every enterprises face more competitive environment than before, and they need more data to support their strategic decision. But 2/3 of top managers in "Fortune 500 Companies" don't trust those data which are provided from their own systems. Today, so many data are scattered around the organization over several application systems, and nobody can guarantee the quality of these data. But, without data quality on reasonable level, nobody can use the internal data effectively. Monitoring and improving data quality is one of the most important process to maximize data usability, but it takes lots of effort and plenty of time. This session will provide the organizational and systematical approach to control data quality.

Abstract: Product information form the basis of a business transaction. And as more and more business transactions fully or partly depend on computing processes, effective and efficient product information management has become a critical component of an enterprise information architecture. Effective search and auto-classification are important operations in a PIM system. We have been able to exploit the flexibility of the triple data model in supporting these basic functionalities. Furthermore, we present ways of tuning existing classification algorithms to take into account the specifics of product information. Also, we present a novel method for reducing the search space of the task of identifying duplicate product records.
